"Our life is no dream,
but it should and will perhaps become one."

Novalis (German poet)

Our Spiritual Heritage

Europe has produced many voices that sought peace – in philosophy, art, religion and political thought. Perhaps the question of peaceful coexistence reaches further back into human history than we know today. This spiritual heritage is part of our identity.

We are aware of this – as well as Germany's special responsibility within Europe, both historically and through its geographical location. Europe itself appears to us as a key space for the question of global peace. That is why this project bears the name Friedenszentrum Europa – as a reminder of this task and as an invitation to act now with awareness, openness and consciousness.

Our Vision

We imagine that in 2040 peace will be a reality that we have consciously helped to shape – and whose preservation has become a natural part of our social life.

For this we choose genuine values as the foundation of our actions.

ATTITUDE

Peace begins within us.

BELIEF

Peace for all is possible.

VISION

By 2040, peace for all is a matter of course.

MISSION

Making peace easy – together and for one another.

  • … questions are allowed
  • … knowledge and wisdom are shared
  • … people of the most diverse backgrounds can come together
  • … spirituality is lived individually and at the same time respected as a fundamental human quality
  • … community measures itself by living in everyday life what it sets out to do

The Friedenszentrum Europa stands for the development of a peace culture that connects us as human beings through our shared concern ‘peace’. The shared desire for ‘peace’ that unites us all overcomes national, cultural, religious/spiritual or academic imprints, differences and boundaries, and enables an encounter from person to person.

We invite you to make peace easy – together and for one another, in cooperation and co-creation.

The Friedenszentrum Europa does not see itself as a finished answer. But as an invitation to explore together how peace can be concretely lived today – in everyday life, in community, in education and in culture.

  • A place of power where peace becomes experienceable, learnable, liveable and celebratable for all.
  • A European meeting place and place of action by and for Friends of Peace.
  • An educational campus for the development of consciousness for a peaceful future for the well-being of all.
  • A real-world laboratory for peace research where future-oriented solutions are researched and developed in various areas of life.
  • A model project for the implementation of optimal solutions (Best Practice).
  • A museum of the future to make visible the solutions most sustainably serving the well-being of all.
  • Cultural, encounter and regeneration space for peaceful connection, exchange and reflection, and for celebrating together to strengthen the collective field of peace.
  • Creative workshop for individuals, groups and organisations working on peace projects.
  • Held spaces (Mediation) to invite people with different backgrounds into the circle of the Friedenszentrum, to enable dialogue and conflict resolution.

  • Educational formats such as (online) courses, trainings & workshops, seminars & webinars to share the most future-oriented approaches, insights and wisdom with people, schools, organisations, companies and governments.
  • For Friends of Peace, peace promoters, peacemakers and peace seekers.
  • All who contribute through their being and actions to a dignified and worthwhile future, whether as individuals, as part of an organisation or a company.
  • All who are motivated to promote our mission ‘Making peace easy’ with their resources (knowledge, skills, network, assets).
